Could be several things. take plug out and hook up to plug wire hold it to the metal on the engine pull the rope. if it has fire you can eliminate coil. clean plug and put back in. take off air filter and spray a shot of carburetor cleaner in the opening of the carburetor. if it starts and dies you have a dirty carburetor that needs cleaned. if it don't you may have a compression problem.
