Bought the floor model hp mini110 -3130nr netbook computer from office max in red mill commons,VA BEACH,VA 23454 they did not have the administrative password to unlock it. I can verify with reicpt. I was hoping they use a master password or have it on file
Have your laptop returned to the dealer. You have to exchange your laptop with a new one if they can't unlock it if it is within 7 days from purchase. If it is more than 7 days but not more than 1 year. Then, go to HP service center as this is covered by warranty. If it is more than a year, then there are three options, one you may go to the HP service center and have them unlock it and pay the labor fee. second, you may go to other service center or a technician but im afraid they might charge you with greater charges. third or last option, you mayl configure this yourself by disassembling your laptop, locate for the motherboard and look for the small battery or the jumpers but if you are unsure of this better not to as it would add more damage. Better to go to the brand service center since they have expertise on the product.
