Brake light comes on, but not tail light
I have a 2005 Buell Blast. I got pulled over by a cop because my tail lamp is out. When I press the brake, the light comes on. I got home, and prepared to change a bulb, thinking there were two. I opened it to only find one bulb. How can the bulb work when the brake is pressed, but not for normal tail light function? Electrical problem?

Hello Jason...How you like your Buell? I have a Thunderbolt.
As for the light problem...No...the bulb is a dual element, one element for the taillight and another for the brake. If you hold the old bulb up and look at it closely you can probably see where one of the elements has burned or broken. Just replace it. The tailight should work then.
