Brand new, just bought it. Actually had to take it back and exchange; this one is doing the same thing. The gauges to do not go past zero. Would adjust regulator, but still nothing. What is going on?
Air Tools & Compressors - Porter Cable - C2002 150 Psi 6 Gal Compressor
Is the tank actually filling up with air? Have you checked the drain valve on the bottom of the tank and made sure it is tight. Porter Cable may ship these with the drain valve open because part of their break in procedure is to run the unit for 15 minutes with the drain valve open. This procedure can be found around page 12 of your owners manual. Weather or not the drain valve is open I would run though this break in procedure and see if the gauges start working. If still no luck with the gauges it can be other issues like The gauge supplier sent PC a batch of faulty gauges and because you bought your units back to back they both came off the same run. Before going back to the retailer and risking a 3rd set of bad gauges I would contact a local DeWalt/Porter-Cable Factory Service Center, they can be located at www.dewaltservicenet.com and see if they have a resolution or can ship you new gauges.
Odd, my owners manual does not list the breakin procedure. I found that on-line.Odd, my owners manual does not list the breakin procedure. I found that on-line.
