Bread comes out hard, dense, lump
My bread machine has worked fine in the past. The last 3 times the dough did not rise, was hard and lumpy on the outside. I am using setting number 9 for dough. Usually rises nicely and smooth. The machine did not feel very warm either. Toastmaster 1172 I had to put the wrong product number in the line below to get my message posted

I had a similar concern with a different breadmaker. Finally gave up and settled for a different setting and it seems to mix, and rise fine but have to settle for a different texture/hardness for the crust. I can only guess some computer chip has failed in that setting!
