Breville 860 - no longer getting constant pressure as the coffee shot is being produced. The pressure gauge fluctuates and the noise is no longer constant while producing the coffee shot. The machine is under a year old and this problem has developed over the last month and nothing I have tried, eg checking tamp is even, checking basket is dry, etc. seems to make any difference. Any suggestions or shoul I get the machine serviced?
I fixed mine by shorting the temperature sensor that is mounted on the body of the pump. Just make sure you don't grind the beans too fine or put too much coffee. I'm able to extract 2 oz (60 ml) in 30 seconds after I 'fixed' the sensor.
General with machine that the hot water outlet onto the ground coffee is blocked with very fine grounds. You need to clean this hot water outlet. Often there is a philips head screw in the middle of the perforated outlet that has to be undone.
