Brightness selection keeps popping up on my screen. So, I have to either push the #1 button to Exit or the #2 Adjust button to remove it from my screen, even though the #2 Adjust button is supposed to adjust the contrast or brightness. It does this quite a bit! Also, when I push the #1 button to bring the menu's up, it starts scrolling thru the menu's by itself!?! I think it's possessed!

It seems to be a hardware issue with the buttons. They are stuck or the rubber cushion under the button has gone bad. That's the reason they are getting pressed automatically. You may take to a local store for a small repair.
