Hi and welcome to FixYa, Offhand, have you tried connecting the coxail cable to the other connector VHF/UHF? To my understanding, the Sony KV-36XBR250 has 2 of these AUX (ANT) and VHF/UHF. Other than the above, the original remote is required not only to reset but likewise to set which picture (main or PIP) the sound would be coming from. The headphones and PIP buttons are only available on the remote and not on the front panel MENU control. Should you be interested, a replacement Sony RM-Y170 remote control for the KV-36XBR250 is available here. Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
It would be further appreciated if you would name the member of the site that provided the assistance and rate said assistance as you see it fit.
Incidentally, the user's guide for the Sony WEGA KV-36XBR250 maybe found here should you be requiring a copy.
Cheers.

It looks like you stuck in pip on your broadcast station this could be due to a setting in your menu system or the standard tuner is going out but I would check the settings first,

its most likely just a setting on the tv that is showing pip only. Turn pip off and see if that shores it up, I am 100 percent sure its a setting and not the tuner itsefl.
Have any addition questions please do reply if you like this solution please hit accept.its most likely just a setting on the tv that is showing pip only. Turn pip off and see if that shores it up, I am 100 percent sure its a setting and not the tuner itsefl.

This television receiver has only an internal analog broadcast tuner. If you want to use the internal tuner you need to Set the TV input to ANT to get the picture.
If you use an external box, set the input to Aux whentever you want to receive the channels from external receiver.
