Broan kitchen hood - frenetic chimney
Hi
We have a RMDD3004 bron hood. Yesterday evening, al of a sudden the chimney went crazy, rising and going down over and over again. The control button did not seem to work.
I tried to reset it by cutting off the power with the breaker... no change.
And of course... warranty has expired 2 weeks ago...
Any help to fix this would be very welcome.

It can be 2 things.
1. The motor that elevates the fan is turning a tad to much. Just by stepping on the floor near it could cause it to go up/down constantly.
2.Or what i had seen was the wires that go to the switch dont have enough slack, and are just making contact to the switch causing it to think somone is pushing the button constantly.
There is way too many steps involved to type out.
