Broken screen on TI 84 Plus SE, TI83 plus and on ti73's I have about 25 graphing calculators. Students have simply scratched the clear plastic screen on 3 of the TI-73's. But the others have had the under screen broken as well as the plastic top screen. There are big purple blotches on the screens. Only one is a 84+SE. The rest are 73's 9both the newer Explorer and the old gray kind) Can the screens be replaced?
I suppose they can be replaced. You should contact the TI Consumer Support Department at [email protected] They will be able to tell you where in your area of residence you can have the calculators serviced and how much It will cost you.
I have heard about a Casio program that gives credit towards the purchase of Casio calculators in exchange of TI calculators. Here is the link to the trade-in program. I believe it is worth investigating this. You may end up replacing the calculators at a lower price. Casio calculators are very good and less expensive than the TI. You will be surprised to hear that Casio is the inventor of the LCD screen.
