I have a Hampton Bay Brookedale fan that was gradually decreasing its speed. at first I though it was the remote controller but digging deeper I found out it is the receiver that sits atop the motor canopy which is damaged. its been impossible to get the replacement part so I ask, is there any way I can install another universal type os HBay receiver to make it work on its highest speed again? Any help on this would be appreciated. I loved this fan when it was ok. Thanks
