I'm having the same problem as n_d_brooks... I've tried to replace the belt and it still would not turn. when I took the roller brush out the motor worked fine. It would spin so the issue seems to be with the roller brush...but you can't find replacement parts for them. Why?
The belt is geard driven on that model so its probably is not slipping. Your problem is most likely in the Electric wand, or the power nozzle elbow. Inspect all the wand leads for corosion.

Even though the brush is spinning, you probably need to replace the belt because it is stretched. It is probably slipping on the beater bar...
