Brushes won't turn on a Hoover F7426-900
The brushes are not turning on my Hoover SpinScrub H7426-900 model. I have taken off the brushes and cleaned that whole unit (dog hair primarily) as well as cleaned the entire front plastic part. the main brush piece is not broken off and it would hand turn. It still doesn't turn the brushes - what else can I check?

There is a turbine that turns from the vacuum pressure your motor creates, its black and shaped like a snail. Take the top covering off, you can do this by removing the four screws situated towards the front of the bottom of the machine. Then there are four more screws to take out to remove the turbine, two on the top in the front, two on the bottom. This will allow you to remove the snail shaped turbine and replace it. It is an easy part to find online if you need to fix the machine yourself. just order the part slap it in and assemble in reverse. then give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. Otherwise you can just walk into your local vacuum repair store and find a nice guy like me to fix it for you.
There should be a rubber belt that drives the brushes on either side. hope this helps. please rate this.........thanks
