@budmrtn Thanks that's a lot of help, I also noticed around the solder a white corrosive like material, however I took a Q-tip and cleaned all of the connections, after reading your response I feel that it is indeed the capacitors and not a failed back-light. When this first happened I turned off the monitor and went to sleep only to find the next day after coming home that it had trouble powering back up and when it finally came on it's appearance was fine, but then started to slowly dim out over the next 2 days and finally now at the point to where the monitor won't power on at all. I've got some voltage meters I will check them again once I get home and leave the results for you later. Much thanks for the help
