Built-in speakers don't work
I have plugged in the audio cable, but the speakers still won't work. I plugged in my external speakers to the headphone jack and I only get sound sporadically from them. I have tried everysetting that i can think of and everry configuration of cables to no avail. Thank you in advance for your help.

First try the monitor speakers on another device.
Leave the PC on and bring a small radio or ipod etc near by and plug the jack into it.
Do the monitor speakers work?

I think you may have 2 problems a dodgey sound card and monitor speakers.
