My 1635s LITE-ON DVDRW has started getting stuck writing the lead in on DVD's.I am using nero 6 on xp home.You cannot stop the thing from trying to write short of restarting the pc.Occasionally it will show a fixation error and stop in nero,but usually just sticks trying to write.
