Burning (electrical) smell and other symptoms
Dear Tresilla,
Many thanks for your help. Let me give you a quick update:
The suppressor seems fine, do you think it is worth changing it and see what happens? Please note the following:
Does a faulty suppressor explain 1) the motor 'clicking' sound (which may be normal, for all I know), 2) the burning smell (which seems to come from below - the motor or something), 3) the burned neon light, and 4) the apparently non-functioning dryer unit (which seems to heat up a little when I start the machine in drying-only mode, but the drum won't revolve at all)...? What do you think?
Could all these symptoms arise from the machine not being properly powered due to a faulty suppressor?
Let me repeat that I really appreciate your assistance on this. Should I manage to fix this, beers on me!!!!
Look forward to hearing from you
