Burning of DVD from Power Director V7
I have a project created on Power Director that I want to burn to dvd. The burning process runs for 65%. I then get an error code FF040301. The file is saved on an external hard drive so i'm not sure if this might be the problem. Pls can you assist with this problem as I would like to complete this project. Thanx. Power Director gets to 75% on creating titles and then freezes. This program has been a nightmare.

I have power director as well but what I do after I produce the movie is I use any video converter I downloaded it for free http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
I convert the video to DVD VIDEO NTSC MOVIE (.MPG)
then I burn it with nero software (I believe they have a free trial) mine came with my burner.
I found that I got a clearer movie without jumping like I had with the powerdirector burn program.
This is what worked for me.
LOOK IN TOOLS AND SETTINGS OR HELP AND FIND THE UPDATE BUTTON AND UPDATE THE SOFTWARE. PLUS YOU ARE RIGHT THAT IT MAY BE PROBLEM USING EXTERNAL DRIVE.(IS IT USB 1.0?)..COPY YOUR FILE TO A TEMPORARY FOLDER ON YOUR DESKTOP AND BROWSE TO THAT FOLDER WITH POWER DIRECTOR.
