Burnt Milk at Bottom of Aeroccino
There is a spot on my aeroccino where the milk keeps burning...for a while I was able to remove the burnt stuff (with some work) but now it's like the spot is permanent and nothing will remove it. Help please????!!

Try this - make a paste from bicarbonate of soda and water and let it
sit in the bottom of the frother for ten minutes or so. Then use a sponge
to clean off the milk stain and rinse and dry thoroughly. To prevent it from
recurring, rinse and dry the inside after each use and don't get the base
of the frother wet.
My solution: after "burning milk", empty the aeroccino and first, rinse shortly but well with running hot water. Then fill until the higher level mark with cold water, place the bigger propeller and let it working the same way you prepare milk. Wait until the water is hot. If desired, repeat more times. Burnt milk gets soft and even very old rests you can remove with a sponge very easily.
After each use, don\'t just rinse. If you feel the bottom there is an almost invisible layer of milk scum on the bottom. If you don\'t remove this each time, it burns the next time and leaves the brown/black residue. You can use your fingers to rub the scum off each time, but it is easier to use a bottle brush to brush the bottom with each rinse. If you get rid of the scum each time, you won\'t ever see that burned stuff again!
Advice from Nespresso themselves for this issue was to run a 'deep clean' which can be done as follows:
1. Half fill the frother with cold water and a drop of washing up liquid with the whisk attachment in place.
2. Press and hold the button until it turns blue - important that you do a cold cycle - not hot - to avoid the mark getting further burnt into the frother.
3. Run twice more back to back (as soon as the cycle finishes run it again).
4. Leave the frother to stand for an hour with the solution still in place.
5. Wipe with non-abrasive cloth.
This *didn't* work for me but I think I'd burnt the milk on so many hot cycles its beyond help. If I can find the proof of purchase they will swap the Aerocinno free of charge. Great service.
A stitch in time saves nine.
Watch the didn't work for about 15 seconds. When the milk foams up to the desired level, pick up the for and pour the milk into your cup.
Save time cleaning and enjoy your latte earlier!
Spray with mr muscle oven cleaner. Leave for a few hours, then thoroughly rinse. Removes the burnt milk without scratching the Teflon finish.
