The battery is located inside the rotary switch on top of the eyepiece lens housing. You have to grip the lower half of the switch with a few fingers of one hand and turn the cap off counter-clockwise with a coin inserted into the coin slot of the cap. After you've replaced the battery (CR2032) put a very tiny amount of silicone grease on the O-ring on the cap, then replace the cap carefully avoiding cross threading the cap. You don't have to tighten it very much, just make sure the o-ring seats tightly. Mark the Gunsmith

and unfortunately, even with new batteries....mine won't work!
