C stopped blowing cold, removed belt a lot of play in pulley, clutch will not engage and keeps blowing fuse. Should I replace compressor, or should I have to replace compressor and Receiver Drier and line hose? Just wondering if I can get by with just compressor

My OPINION... is before wandering into a A/C shop and saying "sock it to me"... (I was checking rockauto's "clutch" parts...
R134a is still plentiful & available... (just scare tactics).
I'll still say it... you would be very wise to look for that clutch bearing and a new winding... Just limit your cost with the knowledge that the entire unit is around $200...
Of course if it was "blown" you are very likely looking at a REPLACEMENT CONDENSER as well... (compressor chunks = BIG trouble).
Even HERE in CALIFORNIA (me old, still, R12's work fine)... R134a refrigerant is still easily available... (check your vehicle information... because that (R134a) is consistent with 2003 manufacturer date ... but getting UGLY expensive MORE every day...
If you are going to do A/C or refrigeration regularly... you can BUY great tools from AMAZON... Not everything has to be SNAP-ON.
Your clutch parts ... I'm amazed to say, are not even listed separately... Just whole compressors... Not terribly expensive!!
I've gotten away many a renewed (compressor) life-time merely by checking the oil, replacing the front seal and refilling the refrigerant... because I owned a small bunch oldies ...
Re-act to the first sign of OIL... There is no reason you can't get old with your cars (comfortably too)
Refrigeration is NOT ROCKET SCIENCE... but you do have to be careful... read back in my past posts... I have given oodles of primer courses... All the PRINCIPLES are exactly the same... EVEN FOR HEAT-PUMPS . Pay close attention to the PRESSURE/SUCTION sides, use the proper tools... and you get to keep all your body parts... WORK SAFE..!!
I'm posting the rock auto "info" page at the bottom... Check out the prices... then go on eBay & nail a good price...
There is probably nothing wrong with the compressor the pulley cab be removed and the bearing replaced if necessary if the clutch coil is going to ground and blowing fuses then that also can be replaced all without removing the compressor from the vehicle the not blowing cold air could be that the ac clutch is not engaging either fro going to ground or a faulty ac relay that is going to ground
I suggest that you find an accredited ac specialist and get a proper diagnosis and a quote first as the replacement compressor ( if a different gas is used ) will require a complete system replacement and not just the compressor as proposed even then compressors are not cheap so checks first may save you lots of cash
