Cadillac Engine Mount
Does a 1987 cadillac fleetwood de'elegance only have 1 motor mount? Is the other end held down by the transmission mount? Dealer says it has only 1 engine motor mount True? If so, what holds it down solidly? My mechanic says it has 2. Transmissiom jumps when shifting to 2nd gear. Would a bad motor mount cause this?

It has two motor mounts and the answer to your question will it make it jump..Its possible if its completely broken. I would suggest that you check transmission mount too. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA
YEAH THERE SHOULD BE A FRONT RIGHT AND A REAR LEFT ENGINE MOUNT ON THAT CADILLAC 4.1 fwd. GOOD LUCK.
