I've just been trying to use my camera and everytime i tried to take a photo, i'd click the button and then the screen would go blank and the power would go off. Once or twice, it had captured a photo and the screen would be half blank with a blacked out photo in the screen showing through.
I turned it off fully, turned it back on and it said empty battery, I got a fresh pair in, turned it on, tried to take a photo and it went off again.

I turned off the camera again (so that the lens goes back in) and now it won't go on at all.

I've been having problems where the flash has stopped working for a while so I know it's a bit faulty, but I'm really at a loss with this and I can't afford a new camera right now. Anyone have any idea whats wrong and whether it's fixable? And if it's possible for me to do that, and not something complicated that a shop has to do?
