Can a Brother HL-2140 printer be connected to a laptop?
I have a new Brother HL-2140, which I wanted to connect to my MacBook Pro LAPTOP. The printer's directions say "DO NOT connect the printer to a USB port on a keyboard or a non-powered USB hub." Does this just mean that I always have to have my laptop plugged in, so that the laptop's USB (to which I need to connect the USB cable from the printer) is a "powered hub"? (I can't imagine that a printer wouldn't be compatible with a laptop!)

I have a MacBook and the Brother HL-2140, they work great with no problems. Should have the drivers for Windows and Mac on the same disk. I am connected by USB.
