Can a stuck therostat cause the radiator fan not to come on? I have disconected the wires and jumped them and the fan comes on. It is a 2000 model 1500 classic
Yes as the senser is in the raditor and if the stat is stuck the raditor doesn't get hot and the fan doesn't come on. This bike is very hard to get full of coolant if it does get low. Top off the coolant and run the engine tilll hot then after its been shut off for a little while again try to add coolant if you add some do it again and again till you can't add any more. Then see if the stat opens and the raditor gets hot then finally hot enough to turn the fan on
