On my rheem furnace model# listed above theres a part that sits above the pilot assembly. it takes on the look and shape of a funnel.it appears that the function of this partis to protect the pilot light, to keep it from blowing out once the induce draft motor starts up.theres a tube that runs from the of this funnel looking part to the idm
