Can I get my recordings off a HD DVR with a damaged hard drive?
The hard drive on my Directv HD DVR went bad. I received a replacement receiver and am fixed for the future. But is there an inexpensive way to save (or record to DVD) several of my recordings off the damaged hard drive?

Sorry, no. Not unless you have a working unit you can put the faulty drive in, but as you say, it's faulty... by its nature a faulty drive isn't useable.
