Hello Mark, It's not apparent what is wrong with the hinge... or it's "socket" which they call the hinge bearing in the manual.
You should be able to make the repair... just take photos and record somehow which screws & pieces go where (When I operate on laptops, I use double sided tape on a strip of cardboard and as I take out screws, I place them on the sticky tape in the same relative location and maybe even put a not on the cardboard. Oven doors are a lot less complicated than taking out motherboards of laptops, but it helps... especially at my age!) Below is a link to a "repair manual". Look carefully at pages 34, 39, 40 and 41. While this does not describe how to change the hinge, it shows you how to remove the glass for cleaning. I'm sure that once you've disassembled that far, there should just be about 3 more screws along the bottom of the door and then it should open up like a clamshell and epose the hinges and springs that help life the door back up. Take pictures again to ensure proper reassembly. A good appliance store should be able to get you the new hinge no problem. I suggest checking availability before taking things apart! The part might have to come from Germany! Good luck! /The GreyOne http://www.uncleharrywizard.com/nephewclub/wizardrange/meile/miele-ovens-h350-373-387.pdf
