No! A capacitor of this value is used for filtering a DC voltage and using a value that much smaller will have consequences. The replacement can be a higher capacitance value or equal to the original but the voltage must also be at least as high. Mouser Electronics sells about every value used and (at least did) charge only actual shipping cost and has nominimum.

Its OK to put in a capacitor with a higher rated VOLTAGE (25V to 50V).
But the CAPACITANCE value should be the same (300uF) (or at least within 10%).
Make sure you replace an electrolytic with another electrolytic and ensure the polarity is right.

No they are not the same, you can go up on the voltage but not down, but you need to be very close or dead on the uf.
