The fan in my production powerware 9120 has died, resulting in an over temp alarm. While in this alarm state it apparently is not functioning as a UPS, as I discovered when we lost power last week. The problem is I can't shut this UPS down - it'll bring our whole corporate network down. I've found the directions to replace the fan, I'm wondering if it's possible and safe to do while the system is live.
