Can I still light an oven even if the electric pilot doesnt work
The plug on my stove/ oven had a short & I'm trying to get power cord. Since Thanksgiving is close @ hand I was curious if you can still light the oven the old fashion way. I've tried it but I don't smell any gas & it won't turn on. I have Kenmore model # 1197478210 pilot free ignition.

Looks like your oven has a "glow" coil. That being the case, you will not be able to light the oven without power. It has to glow to open the valve, and there is no override for this. Sorry.
About the cord, you could install a plug on the cord, or simply replace the cord. (I realize you say you are trying to get one). Other than this, turkey on the grill is always good.
