Can not recieve properly
Ex . i can w/ another radio ,recieve a good carrier from someone.like a 7 w/ a 2 noise level.w/ my radio , i recieve a 2 noise level w/ a 3 1/2 carrier. note; the radio was modified when i purchased it.i sometimes can not hear someone because of this ,when i should?
This is for the 148F the F is for frec. counter , and it is a mobile. It has upper & lowers as well as the side band. It has low receive, and the channels my not be stable. I cannot find info on it. I have not opened it up yet wanted to know where to start FIRST. I have modifacation, info. but NO info on the 148F, much less with the Xtra channel KIT [email protected]

IN your CB there are 25 tuneing slugs (square matal cans with
ferrite tuneing slugs) if you speaker output is low leavel but still
clear and free of hash the set should be ok , but you will need to tune these slugs with a small jewlers screw driver (WITH GREAT CARE) as the slugs break easy. If you want to email me it will not be a problem ,cheers , DENNIS [email protected]
