Can the independent 12 hour hand be set and if so how?
After my cousin passed away, we found a Rolex Explorer II among his things. But we did not find the instruction manual. I now have it and do not know how the 4th hands works, and if it can be set to different times such as to time in another time zone.

You need to watch this video its given how to set time in Rolex watch's :
Hi Bookit42,
General question related to the Rolex watch can help you to solve this problem.
Q: How to set time?
A: To set time, you need to turn button in anti-clockwise direction if you have a screw-in lock watch. Gentally pull the button out a little bit. The best way is to use thumb and index finger and use the finger knuckle as a lever in order to pull the button out with as little force as possible. You can feel a little "click". Now you can set time by turning it anti-clockwise. This would turn the minute-hour hands forward until you set the right time. When time is set, push the button back and turn the button clockwise for a few rounds.
Q: What is meant by sweeping second hand, and which watches have it?
A: A sweeping second hand simply means that the second hand sweeps smoothly instead of ticking once every second. Basically, it is just a bunch of very small, rapid, tiny ticks combined that makes it look like it is sweeping smoothly. All automatic watches have a sweeping second hand, and all battery-run (quartz) and chronograph watches have a ticking second hand.
Q: Why does my automatic replica stop ticking and losing time?
A: When you first receive your automatic replica, you need to wind it for 3 minutes straight before wearing it. If you wear it everyday, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk. If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but will then automatically wind itself once you start wearing it again. The disadvantage to this is pretty clear.
Your watch doesn't keep time if you don't wear it constantly. The advantages are that you don't ever have to replace a battery, the watch keeps great time when it's running, and most of all, this type of movement is exactly what the originals use! If your Automatic is losing or gaining time in a 24 hour period the watch needs to be adjusted. All of our automatics have an adjustment screw on the movement just like the originals. Any local jeweller can service these watches.
Q: How do I set time?
A: To set time, you need to turn button in anti-clockwise direction if you have a screw-in lock watch. You need to softly pull the button out a little bit. The best way to do this is to use first and second finger and use finger knuckle as a lever in order to pull the button out with as little force as possible. You can feel a little "click"! Now you can set the time by turning it anti-clockwise. This would turn the minute-hour hands forward until you set the right time. When time is set, push the button back and turning the button clockwise for a few rounds.
Q: I have a watch with a date, how do I change the date?
A: To change date and time you need to do the following. If you have a screw-in button like Rolex, you need to turn the button anti-clockwise for a few rounds until the button is loose. Then you need to pull the button out softly by using your thumb nail and first finger nail, softly and without force. You should feel a "click" here. There are two steps when you pull the button out. The first step is for setting the date (and Day if you have a Rolex Day-Date). The second step is for setting the local. You can only set Date forward by turning button in one direction. When you are done with setting date and time, push back the button and wind it clockwise for a few times. No need to lock it.
Dont forget to rank me.

Your best bet is to take it to a jeweler who sells rolex's and have him either copy a manual or get you a replacement. it's an expensive watch and the jeweler will check the watch out to make sure all the hands, parts are in good functioning order.....p-lease rate this.....thanks
