Can weak tube be cause of jukebox not picking up records
1960 seeburg Q100 jukebox,,, the mech. scans twice and stops without picking up any records.
please help me. im nowhere near anywhere to take it and dont have much cash,,, i just want to enjoy this thing if i can

You most likely have to have the control center looked at, common with a machine this old. The capacitors in your control unit on the back door have probably gone bad, which they do after 25-40 years. Your jukebox is from 1960, so it's time to have both the amplifier and control unit rebuilt. Not what you wanted to hear, but it has to be done. If you're handy and can solder and read a schematic, you can buy the kits on eBay or do a Google search for Bill Bickers or Vern Tisdale. Both sell the rebuild kits.(Feb 27, 2010)
