Can you be more specific on the location of the transmission shift solenoids in a 1996 lexus es300. i have the pan dropped but dont see anything that looks like the part i bought

I can tell you tho the picture is just a transparent car with dots here and there to indicate locations.
The valve body your looking for should be around the park nuetral switch. There are 4 solenoids. Look on top of the transaxle. The code points to either lock-up solenoid which is to the passenger side of the P/N switch or the SL solenoid which is to the driver side of the P/N switch.. There is also a 1 and 2 shift solenoids located inbetween those solenoids.

by the way it calls for a 2 hour job to replace one solenoid
