Can you charge the battery while it is inside??
Can you charge the battery while it is inside the camera. We do not have the charger that came with my camera (Pentax Optio50) Can we charge it while it is hooked up to the computer or if we find a wall charger to fit?

No. The camera does not include any charging circuity. Connecting the camera to a computer merely drains the battery faster.
