If the vinegar does not work for you, you may need to pick up a stronger cleaner like CLR. Just repeat the same process in the article, except replace the vinegar with CLR or other mineral buildup remover.

You can take the two hoses off the heater core and using a garden hose with a spray end on spary in each openning untill the water runs through clear, I did this on a 1993 jeep that was putting out very little heat, When done replace the huses and top off with coolent.
