Hello. Your wok has a lining of a titanium based material called quantanium. This product is light years ahead of teflon. This durable titanium-infused, scratch-resistant steel bowl allows the use of metal utensils and eliminates the need for cooking oil. This coating is a major advancement over teflon. Personally, however I would still use wooden or plastic utensils to keep the wok scratch free. Regards, Joe
