I recently purchased a new Sony Bravia HDTV and want to transfer my AW871 Wireless Speaker System to the new TV. In trying to get it up and functioning I cannot seem to get it to function. I simply disconnected them to the former TV a Toshiba projection TV and let it sit for a week or so until I kgot familiar with the new Sony. In trying to get the Speaker System to function it will not work. The speakers light up and seeks the different frequencies it is supposed to. But the Transmitter does not light up or transmits any sound to the speakers. An admonition in the operations manual warns tha if it is not properly hooked up you can severly damage the transmitter. This could have possibly happened in this case. I have tried all available avenues in seeking a resolution to the problem but to no avail. I called the 800 number in the manuel and drew a blank. The girl on the phone was vacant and uncaring. She told me to go back where I bought the system and get it checked out by a technician at the store. I purchased the System at BEST BUY and have found their GEEK. SQUAD to be deficient and not all that swift.. I am not sure if the transmitter is gone or not and I am willing to buy another one but I cannjot make any progress is getting information as to where to get one or what is the best way to get the thing checked out/repaired/replaced. I am not technical or have the smarts" to work out anything in technical jargon and any assistance in plain and simple language would be appreciated. Can anyone out there help me with information or a possible solution to this problem?
