Your question was not quite finished...I will assume you lost your reinstall disk. No problem...go to the Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore. Follow the directions through thye system restore wizard. You will get to pick a day and time for your system to restore back to. If you have a XP, there should be many days to pick from...you may not even need to go too far back. If you know what you are trying to avoid( as in the reason why you are trying to restore your system...virus? software loss? etc) just go back to the day of or the day before for your restore. Just remember you will lose any of the information after that date, so be sure to make a backup of everything you need or want!
Open your computer and on the motherboard there is a Battery which looks like a Coin, Take it Out and Turn on and Turn Off your computer once,Put the battery back on motherboard and Tur on your coputer you will be able to go into BIOS without password. Then you can try recovering your computer to Factory Settings.
