CANON PIXMA MP810 PROBLEMS - Aghhhhh!! I can print from my computer fine but if i try to scan or copy the same document to the printer and THEN print it , it comes out really faintly. I have tried changing the cartridges, cleaning the nozzels & base plate etc but no different. The colours come out fine if i just send something to print so this must be something to do with what or how the scanner or copier reads the colours! Any idea if this is repairable?? Thanks

Try this,
scan the document to the computer, then view it using a picture viewer.
You may see that the scan is faulty!
The printer may be printing exactly what it sees!
If the scan to the PC shows there is nothing wrong with the scan,
Then it is the print settings that are wrong, when you print that scan to the printer.
The format you are printing determines the colours printed, are there different drivers or programs which are used between the good prints and the bad scans?
This may be the differnce between a document printed using word and say photohop for a picture?
