Set screw for what? To raise the flame? Not one. What you gotta do is clean out the pilot. Least bit of dust makes the safety think oxygen is low and shuts down the heater. I flush the pilot with a drop of rust busted then I use the long spout on it to blow out the pilot. You could use a straw tubing or shop air. Look on the pressure regulator for a plastic cap
Remove the cap and you can tweak the pressure.Any pilot adjustment is gonna be on the main gas valve.
If the pilot hole was monkeyed with in any way you will need to replace the pilot assembly.
