Can't get a connect from my emachine to aco l32w761

When i connect my desktop (emachine) to my AOC, i get a message that's reads - Video4 Mode Not Supported!

Please Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 options:

1) Try changing your screen resolution to say 640x480 or 800x600 ..

2) Try it in safe mode also ..
