Can't get ECS PM800-M2 to boot to SATA drive
I have selected the SATA drive as the first boot device, but it still boots to the IDE drive. If I disconnect the IDE drive, the computer hangs up and won' boot at all. The SATA drive is recognized on the IDE 2 Master position, the IDE drive shows on the IDE 0 Master, and my DVD writer shows up at IDE 1 Master. How do I get it to boot to the SATA drive?

You need to make sure that your SATA drive has an Operating system on it. It can't boot if it only has a data drive.
