Can't get it prime
I have a Flo Tech FP4012-10 I know it was left running without water for a while, I do get pressure but it won't **** water after I prime the pump before I start the pump. Also should the impellar come off the shaft. I'm thinking it got hot and melted to shaft.

Hi,
You either have an air leak or you have a foot/check vlave problem that is just letting all the water run through and not allowing you to prime... these can be very difficult to prime even in the best conditions...
Yes, you could melt the impeller, but probably not... they are very hard to get enough of a grip on to get hem off... I have destroyed many and just replaced them with new after I got them off...

Ive had 3 impellers melt to the housing on the same pump so it can happen and with regularity. If it loses prime and runs it WILL melt the impeller to the housing guaranteed. you have to break the housing off the impeller to remove it when melted.
