Can't get power to my RoadPro 1500 DC to AC Power Inverter
I have a RoadPro 1500 DC to AC Power Inverter in my tractor trailer and have become very dependent on it. It came with the truck I bought and worked fine for approximately 3 months. Now when I try to turn it on all I get is the red fault light. Can you suggest a cure? Thanks! Dave

I have had this same problem with several power inverters over time. The problem is usually one of three things.
Those starting with the simplest.
1. Too much current being drawn on the inverter.
Solution (Check appliances that are plugged in and make sure they are not drawing more than 1200 watts. If they are unplug the appliance that is using the most current and get an inverter that is more suited to your power needs.)
2. Some power inverters have fuses built on to them. Sometimes multiple fuses. Sometimes, one fuse may burn out leaving one intact. When this happens even small items draw too much current and over load the inverter.
Solution (Replace the fuses)
3. Improper installation. Inverters draw a lot of current. You must use the propper wire size for the inverter. I would recomend at least an eight guage wire directly fused and hooked directly to the battery. Of course like with all things the bigger the wire the better the flow of electricity.
If it is not one of those things stop into a truck stop electronics shop and have the person diagnose it.
Hope that helps.
