Can't get speakers to work
I have a dell computer and we are using windows xp.I had to recently wipe the computer clean and reinstall all the drivers.Well there is no sound and when I go to fix the proublem it says This device cannot start. (Code 10).The most compatible driver is the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC.That is what comes up when I troubleshoot and uninstall and let the computer install for me.Can anyone help me or does this make any sense at all?

Hi...
Mostly of the sound driver now are need a compatibility if your installed driver is not compatible it will affect the hardware. It's better that you will know the model of your motherboard, if you know the model you need to search the model and download the sound driver witch is compatible.
For now the all motherboard are High Definition Audio.
Good luck!
