Can't get the Wayne Dalton 3016 remote to work and the new univer
Hi I owned a Wayne Dalton 3016 garage opener about 5 years ago. Some how the remote control does not work even I change the battery. I went to Lowe's and they told me that the remote sometime it die but all four of them? Are they right? They recommended me to buy the universal garage door opener remote control (Clicker) model KLIK1U. So I bought it and follow their 7 step instruction but did not work. My question is: Are Lowe's right about the remote just die and if they are right then what solution do I have about the Universal remote control from Clicker? Thank you!!

I am having the same problem. Bought universal remote from Lowes and won't work with the Wayne Dalton. Not sure what else to do but keep looking for a system that uses the 303 Mhz not the 372.5 as suggested in the "Clicker" manual. If anyone figures it out post it. Thanks.
Lowes is not what I would call a qualified Garage Door information service. I have been in the door business for 12 years and am familiar with all makes and models. The Liftmaster Universal Remote will work for any garage door opener, but for some openers it does require that you install a reciever board which Liftmaster does sell as well. The remotes contain a circuit board that rarely goes bad. Usually only if it gets wet. I might suggest bending the prongs inside the remote that make contact with the battery, sometimes they do not make a tight contact. Also check to make sure the battery is in the right way, I know your not a dummy but just check. Make sure you are programming the remote correctly, you will know if you hear a click or the light on the opener flashes. Hope this helps..... FLIPSTUR
That is like asking guy on the street how to do heart surgery. Really, would all four remotes die. Come on. Do you have a LOCK or VACATION button. You probably turned it on and locked out the remotes. Read your manual!
