Can't install McAfee Security
I am trying to install McAfee thru my IP...it's free. But, it stalls because it says I need to delete webroot spysweeper antivirus. It is not on my list of programs...I deleted it months ago. My IP tech says there could be "residual" and to contact webroot. I'm in stall mode. Help! Is there such a thing as "residual"?

Try going into your c: drive and Program Files and see if you see a folder for webroot or spysweeper.
delete any residual files and the folder.
you may have to go into your registry and remove the spysweeper keys, but unless you know how to do it i would let a pro do it.
