I recently purchased a 3.5" IDE drive enclosure. The power supply to our old pc was busted & rather that have the PC repaired, we decided to remove the hard drive & put in in a drive enclosure, to retrieve our music & photos, but also to use it as an external drive. We had no problem installing the drive or with our laptop recognising the drive, but we cannot find our files! The drive has all the old windows files & programs etc. that would have been on the drive, but there is no sign of our own documents. Furthermore, our laptop tells us that the drive has 25 GB of info., of which 21GB is music, photos & personal documents. Can anyone advise what's gone wrong or why we cannot access the files?
